Vision

Studio SPACECRAFT Architecture is rooted in a user-centered approach: innovative solutions that merge aesthetics with functionality, embracing complexity and creativity in every project.

With a focus on residential, commercial and mixed-use architecture, the studio redefines spatial experience through rigorous research, material exploration and a strong conceptual foundation — creating environments that engage and inspire, and delivering a lasting impact.

Collaborating with expert partners, each project is approached with flexibility and precision, adapting to its unique demands while keeping a clear architectural vision — grounded in practicality and constructibility, shaping spaces as functional as they are inspiring.

Rutger is fascinated by the interplay between complexity and simplicity in design. Complexity may be unnecessary, but simplicity is never truly simple — and it is this paradox that drives his passion for problem-solving, distilling intricate ideas into clear, elegant solutions and finding new ways to make spaces both ambitious and achievable.

In 2023, driven by a passion for collaboration and the exchange of ideas, he returned to Greece to establish Studio SPACECRAFT Architecture — a practice dedicated to expanding the possibilities of contemporary design, where experimentation, learning and innovation can thrive.
